Curtain up for Motor Expo 2007 Largest of its kind in Southeast Asia

Press Release Summary: It is grand opening of Motor Expo 2007. Thirty six car brands pervade the expanse of IMPACT Challenger, creating a new phenomenon in automotive industry of Thailand and Southeast Asian region.
Press Release Body: Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong, President of Inter-Media Consultant and Organizing Chairman of the "24th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2007", revealed that the Expo is held this year under the concept "Future Vehicles Stun the World" to reflect the advanced technologies that makers apply to current cars and prepare to incorporate into future vehicles.
"The Expo is held at IMPACT Challenger 1-3 on 60,000 square metres. Outdoor activities take up another 25,000 square metres, adding up to a total space use of over 85,000 square metres, thus making ours the largest show of motor vehicles and accessories in Thailand and second largest in Asia, next to Japan only," he added.
H.E. Piyabutr Cholvijarn, Deputy Minister of Industry, presides over the opening ceremony attended by the Governor of Nonthaburi, Ambassadors of Sweden, Great Britain, the French Republic and a large assembly of distinguished guests.
Car companies taking part in the Expo represent 36 brands as follows:- ASTON MARTIN, AUDI, BENTLEY, BMW, BUGATTI, CHEVROLET , CHRYSLER , CITROEN , FERRARI , FORD, GRAND CARRYBOY, HONDA, HYUNDAI, ISUZU, KIA, LAMBORGHINI, LORINSER, LOTUS, MAZDA, MERCEDES-BENZ, MINI, MITSUBISHI, MITSUOKA, MTM, NISSAN, PEUGEOT, PORSCHE, PROTON, SKODA, SPYKER , SSANGYONG, SUBARU, SUZUKI, TOYOTA, VOLKSWAGEN and VOLVO. In addition, there are lots of car audio and car accessories.
Mr. Kwanchai continued "This year we still stress the promotion of returning profits to the visitors by giving out 3 cars to lucky persons. The 3 contests of fortune are as follows. Visitors who buy or book a car in the Expo will be eligible to contest for the prize of a HONDA CR-V 2.0 i-Vtec worth 1,180,000 Baht in the "Buy a Car Win a Car" program. Visitors who purchase an Expo admission ticket costing 80 Baht will receive a coupon to fill in details and contest for a SUBARU IMPREZA worth 1,120,000 Baht in "Buy a Ticket Win a Car" program. The top 20 vote casters will have a chance to join a specially organized Private Party. Voters' Lucky draw will take place on 23 January 2008. Motor Expo 2007 will run from 29 November until 10 December 2007 (weekdays from 1200-2200 hrs., Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 1100-2200 hrs.). On Friday 30 November 2007 from 1600-1800 hrs. Motor Expo 2007 Live in Bangkok will be telecast live from IMPACT Challenger on TITV, and on Saturday 1 December 2007 from 1400-1600 hrs. on RTA Channel 5.
